It sure was a lot of work to pull it off and to clean it up but it was sure worth it!
I now have 3 friends engaged, and I couldn’t be more excited for them! To show my excitement, I had some girls over to celebrate and it was quite fun!! Megan tried on Jenn and Taylor’s (the newly engaged ladies) and mine and Jeanette’s (the newly wed ladies) and I thought it was a really fun picture!
For my 31st birthday I wanted to take the Mother’s day tea to the next level. There were 3 things about our Mother’s day tea that I didn’t like (as the event planner): the 11am start time, the lack of mimosas and the boas. I wanted to make this tea more of a high tea that would occur after breakfast and would also have more emphasis on the nice garden party attire. I added these elements to my birthday High Tea and was thrilled with the results! Unfortunately, nobody who attended mother’s day tea was able to attend my birthday tea so the only judge is myself.
Mimosas- Grapefruit & Orange Juices; Cava; Brut & Red Moscato
Tea Sandwiches-Cucumber with a mint & dill avocado spread; chicken salad with fresh basil & egg salad with dijon
Scones- Jalapeno & Feta, Orange Spice
Sweets- Assorted cookies and cakes
I didn’t give too much guidance but what I did say was wear a dress that Princess Kate would swoon over, and maybe a hat. I am happy to report that my friends and family came through. Everyone arrived with a tea cup and a classy outfit!
